American Idol - I Am All Through

First of all, I would like to offer my congratulations to both Jordan and Blake for making it to the finals. However, I think Melinda not being one of the finalists is a travesty and I for one will not be watching the finale.......as I don't really care who wins at this point!

With the "mockery" the show became with web sites and others pushing to keep Sanjiya on and with the way the voting went tonight, a change must be made on how the voting is done next year. If they did as "Dancing With The Stars", where half the vote is taken from the judges and then combined with the viewers votes, the process would be considered more fair. Melinda out classed and out sang any of the contestants. She is in a league all by herself, as well as being a wonderful role model for young girls everywhere. Without a doubt, she will be offered a contract and have a wonderful singing career with much longevity and I will follow her as she takes this journey and support her every step of the way,

Because of the "mockery" the show has become, the road for me in following American Idol ends here and now.

I wonder if my thoughts differ from yours. Do you agree with me, or agree to disagree. I would appreciate your thoughts

My daughter posted this survey on her blog and if there's one subject I love talking about, exploring and of course eating....it's Ice Cream. IF there was only one thing in this world I could eat, it would be this! I am an Icecreamaholic and proud of it.....lol

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? coffee cappachino w/chocolate covered beans

What is your favorite brand of ice cream? Any brand, as long as it's all natural = Ice cream stand: Kimballs in Westford, Ma

What is the weirdest flavor of ice cream you've ever seen? cotton candy and it was just terrible....lol

Where does it hurt when you eat ice cream too fast? It goes right to my head - a head rush that really really hurts!

When is your favorite time to eat ice cream? Anytime!!!!!! I would rather eat ice cream than food. I am a self professed Icecreamaholi and that's a fact!

How often do you eat ice cream? More times than I would care to admit, although I do have a ritual I go through to make sure I don't overdo it......You wouldn't believe me, if I told you.....lol

How much ice cream do you eat in one serving? I'm pretty good at measuring how much to eat at one sitting, when I have a 1/2 gallon sitting on my lap, with my trusted teaspoon:)

Do you share your ice cream with your pet? I would if I had one

What type of ice cream do you like most? I like all, but there's something special about soft serve

What toppings do you like on your sundaes? Hot fudge, hot fudge, hot fudge.....Did I say hot fudge? lol

If you could have your dream flavor of ice cream, what would it be? Peanut butter ice cream with Reeses peanut butter cups and thick swirls of hot fudge

Ice cream anyone?:)

AMERICAN IDOL – And Then There Were 4

I 've always loved John BonJovi's music and I think it has a lot to do with the fact of still being able to hear in my mind….my daughters singing the songs when they were teenagers:) He's still fantastic and looks amazing…..and presented the contestants with sound advice that will help them tremendously, as they travel down their musical road.

I am so amazed at how Phil has grown into the performer he is, from when he first began. I was saddened that he was voted off last night. Actually, I think he was a week too early in having that happen. However…..his final performance was exceptionally outstanding. The way he connected with each member of the audience ..and that he shook hands and gave a hug to the judges, shows what kind of gentle man he is. I am so looking forward to hearing him on country radio. I have no doubt that he will be offered a recording contract, once the year of touring with the AI finalists has passed. The depth, strength and vocal ability that Phil has will take him far. Of that I have no doubt!

I knew Jordan would be safe, although her performance of "Living On A Prayer" was just terrible. You'd never guess that she was the phenominal Jordan of past shows. This is one genre she better stay as far away from as possible.

Lakisha gave a very soulful performance and it was the best she's done in weeks. She definitely shined….However, one performance does not an American Idol make and though she has a beautiful voice, she is limited to the types of songs she can sing, she seems to never select the right one and I really thought she would be eliminated this week....I was wrong this time, but I have a feeling that next week, she may not be so lucky.

What can you say about the unique ablity of Blake? :)) He was daring in making the song his own with his phenominal sound effects. I loved his rendition of "You Give Love A Bad Name."

I was not at all surprised that Chris was voted off. Compared to the other 5, it was a no brainer. Except for one performance that I can remember really enjoying, there was nothing special or unique about him and his nasal sound…..oh I apologize. I meant to say…his deliberate nasal style of singing….lol drove me completely up the wall. I kept wanting to say to him…..just blow your nose already…..lol

Melinda to me is a true American Idol and I agree with Simon 100% when he stated that she is in a league by herself. Every single week, she has come up to the plate and performed a song, regardless of genre and done a fantastic job! She knows what she can do, she knows her limitations., and her song choices fit her perfectly! For someone who thought she couldn't pull off singing rock, she became a "Rocker Babe" last night.
